In order to apply for a green card lottery application, high school education is a must. If not, you should have at least two years of work experience in a field requiring at least two years of experience or training. You can submit your application at the official website during the mentioned registration period.

It is mandatory for a person to list all the details about himself/herself in the green card lottery application. Also, you need to mention about your spouse and all unmarried children who are below 21 years of age. The only exception here is that of children who are already citizens of U.S. or are green card holders. You need to list the details about your spouse except if you are legally divorced from him/her.

Enlisting the details about your children who are unmarried and are under 21 years of age is also mandatory. You need to do this, even if you have adopted them in accordance with the laws of your country. This is not required when your children are already US citizen or a green card holder. Apart from this, if they do not reside with you or you do not wish for them to immigrate through the DV lottery program, then also you need to mention their details.

Before you apply for Green Card Lottery Program, you need to take care of the following things:

  • Never send multiple entries as your application will be disqualified regardless of who submitted the entry.
  • Print your confirmation screen containing the name, date of birth, country, date/ time stamp. This ensures that your entry was successfully submitted and registered.
  • Only online entries are accepted
  • Provide all the required photographs
  • Family or group photographs are not accepted
  • Signatures are not required on the application.

Eligibility Requirements

Do check the eligibility requirements before you apply for the green card lottery program. You are not allowed to participate in your country of birth is not eligible. In this, your nationality does not make any difference while applying. A spouse can submit one application if both meet the eligibility criteria individually. On the selection of one, the other will be entitled to the derivative status.

If you don’t have proper knowledge about the process, you can have someone else do it for you. You can hire some visa consultant who can file an application on your behalf. Just remember to submit only one application as doing more can result in disqualification.

For checking the status of your application, you can visit the official website. You will not receive any notification letter from the US Government. You need to check your entry status yourself.

do you have specific bank accounts in Kenyan which one can pay the registration fee, if ”yes” can you inform me about them for me to clear my
registration fee.

Kevin, please email us directly at lottery @ usa-green-card.com for assistance with bank account information.

I have submitted a bigger size passport photo. Will l get disqualified

If the system accepted your photo, you are OK.

Hi! How can I make sure that I have already applied? I mean, are there any ways of making sure that someone has not applied on behalf of me? Does the system warn me about multiple entries?

You must be very careful and keep track of your registrations. The system WILL NOT tell you if you have already submitted an application for the current year. That is another reason why you should consider using the services of USA Green Card. We make sure that only one registration is submitted per lottery year.
