The coronavirus has affected travel and entry circumstances for countries around the globe and the US is no exception.
The impact on US immigration activities is significant. For example, services at many US embassies and consulates have been reduced if not outright stopped.
In June 2020, President Trump proclaimed a suspension of entry to the United States of most aliens seeking nonimmigrant visas, including H1-B and H2-B visas, until the end of calendar year 2020.
The Green Card Lottery for 2020, however, has not been adversely affected by the pandemic and it is scheduled to proceed without interruption.
You can read a thorough compilation of Covid-19 updates, including implications for travel and immigration, at the The New York Times.
