With his pick of Kamala Harris as his vice-presidential running mate, presidential hopeful Joe Biden validates his pro-immigration outlook. Harris is half Indian and half Jamaican, a bona fide daughter of US immigrants.
Harris has been a fierce critic of the harsh anti-immigrant policies of the current administration.
Biden and Harris promise to deal with--once and for all--the lingering DACA issues. They propose to create a path towards citizenship so Dreamers they can normalize their legal status in the US.
The Biden-Harris ticket has also downplayed Trump's repeated threats to the DV Lottery program. They hope to improve and expand the US immigration system.
